Second Street Art Market and Wine Bar begins with the premise that life is a gift and everything in it a little magical. The dream, or vision of the market and wine bar, began in 1997 when Douglas Buchman suggested to his soon-to-be bride, Heather, that one day they open a little store, one where she could share the things she loved—art, wine, music, books, and other pretty little things.

Ten years, and two young sons later, we opened in 2007 believing two things. One, we will always be changing and evolving, and forever believe in infinite possibilities. Two, and most significantly, we will find both customers and artists who are kindred spirits in our wondrous journey.

Our goal at Second Street Art Market and Wine Bar is to inspire our customers to linger. Every object, work of art and glass of wine has or tells a story, and we strive to share with you treasures and simple delights that will bring inspiration to your daily life and feed your soul. We select our wine and design our products with an eye for craftsmanship, small details and that special something that puts a little dance in your step and warmth in your heart.

Representing over sixty artists and small design studios, Second Street Art Market and Wine Bar offers pottery, paintings, jewelry, gifts, cards, music, glass, sculpture, wine and lots of pretty things. Local artists from Monument and other parts of Colorado are joined by others from across the country and around the world providing an eclectic mix of high quality, interesting, and beautiful fine art and fine craft.

The wine bar offers over 25 wines by the glass, flights, special events and an impressive selection of tapas-style food and decadent desserts.
